I get what you mean! Here’s a fresh angle: Beyond awards, I’m proud of exploring new challenges, like pushing myself in archery—an unexpected passion. I’ve learned that growing in one area, whether it’s music or academics, fuels my drive to keep learning languages and connecting with different cultures. As I move forward, I want to blend my curiosity for new skills with my goal of supporting others on their journeys, wherever life takes me.

Looking ahead: Future goals

My passion for veterinary medicine has been shaped by hands-on experiences, such as dissection in biology labs and caring for animals whenever possible. I aim not only to help animals, but also to support the people who love them. Additionally, my future goals include expanding my linguistic repertoire—Italian, Catalan, Portuguese, German because connecting with diverse communities will enhance my ability to serve both animals and their owners with compassion and understanding.

Valuable lessons and growth

Looking back, some of the most important experiences that helped me grow were challenging myself academically, becoming involved in music and dance, and learning to step outside of my comfort zone. Marching band, leadership opportunities like being president of the French Club, and learning different languages taught me confidence, discipline, and communication skills. These experiences helped shape who I am today and gave me the motivation to continue following my dreams at University of California, Santa Barbara and beyond.
